If service is terminated because of non-payment, a reconnect fee of $15.00 plus the outstanding balance must be paid before service will be restored.
Garbage collection for residential customers is billed 1 month in advance. Garbage needs to be put out by 6:30 am on the day of pick-up. Customers are allowed either 5 large or 10 tall kitchen bags per week. Garbage must be bagged, no exceptions.
There is curbside recycling pickup twice a month. The dates are listed on your Kingwood Water Works utility bill. The items should be separated and bagged. Clear recycling bags are available free of charge for residents at Kingwood City Hall.
City residents have free pick-up of 2 large items per month. Always on Tuesday except when the crew has to make a double run that week due to a Holiday. Special pick up needs to be called in Wednesday through Monday before pick-up day.
